Step into a High Street with a difference as Middlesbrough Town Hall’s Fire Station is transformed into Tomorrow Street – an imaginary avenue full of playful shops and inspiring spaces for families to explore.

Best suited for families with children under 8, but all ages welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Visitors will be able to:

  • Visit the park and colour in a flower to take home for a loved one.

  • Relax in the community space.

  • Draw a self-portrait and design a favourite meal in the café and gallery.

  • Design your dream pet in the pet shop and have fun in the mini arcade.

  • Visit the garage and build a cardboard car.

  • Join in games in the playground!

Created by artist Anna Bruder from A-Line Art in collaboration with local communities including pupils from Caldicotes Primary School, and members of Linx Youth Project and Creative Minds.

Tomorrow Street is a vibrant, uplifting environment designed to spark joy and creativity. Anna’s distinctive monochrome designs provide a bold, imaginative backdrop – a canvas for visitors to add their own colour, ideas and dreams and to imagine a more hope-filled future for our people and places.
